Growing up in Germany and ging to an Anne Frank Realschule, you geht the holocaust overkill... But nothing like this. It is truely touching, real and alive, sometimes really brutal in the description of it's glimps of the truth and yet it doesn't blame the whole of a people, nor tries to render the other as innocent.

This book was so good! I have just finished it and I want to get out the word! This is the perfect autobiography if you want to learn about a Jewish girl growing up in the Holocaust. I was amazed to read about all of the things that happened during WWII to the Jews of Europe. They went through so many hardships. Bitton-Jackson is so good at expressing her feelings about everything that happened. I am glad that women today are willing to share their experiences of WWII. Hope you read it, and if you do enjoy!

Livia Bitton-Jackson, A survivor of Hitler's Auschwitz, tells the daring story of her inturupted childhood. When she is very young, Livia is deported to the Nagymagyar Ghetto in Hungary. After taking the hardships of the Ghetto, she is sent along with her mother and brother to Auschwitz. She single-handedly keeps her mother alive and together with her brother they survive Auschwitz. But the same cannot be said for her beloved father.

This book was just so good! I am in the 8th grade and i had to read this book for a class assignment. i normally hate reading but when i started reading this book i got so into it and i just went through the book in a flash. it was sad when Elli finds out her father is dead. well i whole book is just so moving and after your done u will feel very touched by it. now i am reading Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry, i hope it is just as good.

This fascinating tale of a young girl's tragic life in death camps during the holocaust is truly inspiring. I like reading holocaust books and this one is by far one of the best. Elli goes through two camps while trying to save her mother from her injury she got. She had horrible conditions. Read this book!

I Have Lived a Thousand Years is a great book! It tells of a girl who lived during the Holocaust. She is a Jew, and is taken to be put in a concentration camp. It is a very moving and challenging book. I would recomend it for ages 11 and up. I read this book twice; that's how much I like it!

"I Have Lived A Thousand Years" was the story of Ellike Friedmann, a fourteen-year-old Jewish girl living in Europe at the time of Hitler's rule. This powerful book described in great detail the times lived in both horror and hope. I recommend this book for everyone.

... das war mein Gedanke gestern Abend. Und plötzlich war der Manga zuende.Es ist ein wundervoller Manga, toll gezeichnet und keiner 08/15-Story. Gerade in dieser Genre kommt es leider oft vor, dass der Storyverlauf in gefühlt jedem 2. Manga ähnlich ist. Doch hier ist es doch ein wenig anders.Die Geschichten sind an sich miteinander verwoben, was mir persönlich auch sehr gut gefällt. Die Charaktere kommen gut rüber und man wird einfach von den Geschichten gefesselt. Es ist eigentlich schon fast schade, dass es ein Einzelband ist. Eigentlich würde ich gerne noch ein bisschen mehr von Ao und Co lesen ^^Bisher habe ich von ihr nur "Café Men" gelesen, aber nach "Kurokoi" muss ich sagen, ich werde jetzt gezielt einige ihrer bisher erschienenen Werke kaufen und mich auf die nächsten Veröffentlichungen von ihr freuen.Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Wer die Art der Zeichnung und des Themas liebt der findet in diesen Manga alles, einzig die Story lässt für mich etwas zu wünschen übrig da bin ich schon mehr gewohnt wenn ich da an die Game - Reihe denke. Trotzdem für die Fans ein super Manga

Wieder ein gelungenes Meisterwerk, es lohnt sich das Buch zu kaufen. Ich war begeistert und konnte nicht aufhören zu lesen.

Ich bin einfach nur aus dem Häuschen!Ich war auch nicht mal bei der Hälfte des Mangas und war schon so begeistert und gefesselt was wirklich nicht oft vorkommt bei mir! Die Geschichte ist super aufregend und sehr überraschend. Es gab auch viele "kreisch" Momente für mich xD Wenn man diese "Art" von Mangas schon mag sollte man sich diesen auf keinen fall entgehen lassen!!!

Sehr schöner Manga, keine 0815 Geschichte! Für alle Yaoi Fans empfehlenswert.😃 Die Zeichnungen sind auch sehr schön! Hab das Buch nur so verschlungen.😆

Man soll in der Beschreibung nicht erwähnen, dass es sich um zwei Zwillingspaare dreht, da ist die Verwirrung weg:)Ansonsten ist diese BL Manga so, wie es mir gefällt: ein niedlicher zierlicher Junge (ok, hier zwei) und ein cooler erwachsender Typ (auch hier zwei davon).
